WHO WE ARE

Hickory Grove Capital is a financial services company offering both investment and advisory services. HGC has a national focus sourcing private capital for economic development activities in low-income communities and experience investing in a wide range of industries. Our primary specialty is advising clients in the federal and state New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) programs and securing the debt and equity required to participate in the NMTC program.

The NMTC program is administered by the CDFI Fund, a department within The United States Treasury. The CDFI Fund was established in 1994, to promote economic revitalization and community development through investment in and assistance to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs).  NMTCs provide capital to businesses or developments located in low-income communities.

HGC's Principal has participated and closed over $350 million in NMTC transactions. We partner with our clients to find creative capital solutions, structuring and closing their tax credit transactions. This includes finding the right tax credit buyer and community lender who aligns with the client’s timing and fits their capital needs. We work with a variety of businesses, developers, and non-profits leveraging our financial expertise to tailor a solution to make your capital goals a reality.
